Chad Cornwall, Owner + Creative Director

About the owner

Chad Cornwall is the owner and creative director of Flower Power Productions, and before anything else, he wants you to know this: he'll always tell you the truth, even when it's not what you expected to hear. That honesty, paired with a whole lot of fun, is the foundation of every relationship he builds with the couples he works with.

A native Houstonian, Chad's earliest memories of flowers weren't in a shop—they were gathering bouquets in the outfield during little league games and wishing on dandelions on the walk home from school. He always knew he wanted to build something with his hands, on his own terms. After college, that instinct led him into the events world, and quickly into floral design.

Formally trained with a double accreditation, Chad brings together a deep knowledge of color and texture with a genuine love of the way flowers and foliage grow together in the wild. He brings that same instinct to every wedding, translating a couple's vision into something that feels alive, not arranged.

When he's not flowering the city, you'll find him eating his way through Houston's restaurant scene, digging through vintage shops for the next great find, or fully committed to whatever show he's currently binge-watching.

Good design happens with you, not at you.

Flower Power Productions is a full-service, boutique floral design studio based in Houston, working on weddings and events across Texas and beyond.

We were founded in 2013 on the ideals of the counterculture movement of the 60s and 70s, exploring the belief that even something as small as a single stem can push back against a chaotic world and bring a little more peace into it. That belief still shapes how we work today: with honesty, transparency, and a genuine sense of collaboration.

We only take on one event per day. That's not a marketing line, it's a promise that whatever day is yours, it has our full attention, start to finish.

Kind Words

"I wanted swoon worthy florals that would leave my guests and I breathless. Chad delivered just that. He took the bits and pieces, the colors and descriptions, the wishes and fantasies and made them a reality. It was as if he whispered to the flowers, “Weave for the bride a dream” and without hesitation, they acquiesced."

A flower, doing what it could.

In 1967, a young man walked up to a line of armed soldiers at the Pentagon and slid a carnation into the barrel of a rifle. No speech, no shouting, just a flower, doing what it could. The photograph became one of the defining images of a generation that believed beauty could push back against a hard world.

That's the spirit behind our name. Life's short, and a little more beauty in it is never wasted. We've built a business, and a name, around that belief.
